Devise a style. You have to have exposure. This is a matter of how much you need people's acceptance and their approval. If you need them a lot, then you have to expose yourself and do all this stuff, which still won't change your condition, it will only make you better at wearing a mask. But for m...

Keeping this mask is extremely draining for me, which is the reason for I avoiding social events whenever I can. Lately I've been trying to be somehow more autentic, which means just being the introverted and quiet person I am, and not forcing myself to make boring small talk, smile, etc. Yeah, peop...

Hey there. Just sharing some thoughts: After many years of jealousy for neurotypicals and their lives, I realized that I'm almost like a cat wanting to be a dog, or vice versa. I'm a different being, almost from a different species. Imagine a cat wanting so much to be physically strong and threateni...

Yes.
I wanna be left alone most of the time, so if people come to talk with me I get very uncomfortable and annoyed.

Yes, a lot. I have to fake enthusiasm when talking to most people.

I wouldn't say I feel like a child. But I feel like I lack some important thing that makes other people feel adult. Maybe it's the ability to socialize in a natural and easy way.

Yes. Sometimes a lot, sometimes I don't think about it at all.
What makes me thinking about it when I see people's happiness that I'll never achieve for being on the spectrum.

Yeah I have it, and I think this is a way of stimming. Because feeling the keys in my hands, the cigarrete in my mouth, or anything like that, it distracts me a bit from the overstimulation of sounds, lights and people on the streets.

I feel discomfort mostly around relatives and neighbours. For some reason total strangers don't make me feel so uncomfortable. I also don't have any drive to chase social interactions because I just can't find them pleasurable. They're just bad or neutral, but never something I really enjoy. And for...

Most NTs don't know what asperger is so they only think we're weirdos.

I've read that neanderthals were less sociable but never connected it to ASD. I think it's possible though.

Yes. I'd say both kids and elder people. With teenagers or people at my age I feel totally out of place. Maybe because there's a pressure to fit in and be like them, while with very younger/older people I feel more comfortable with the idea of being different than them, though I kinda have an old mi...

Some people didn't get it. I meant that I have absolute no interest in socializing, although sometimes it's not bad, it is still draining. I never chase it, it never feels like "omg I wanna do that again, I gotta call these people to meet with them and socialize". So when I do it, it's jus...

Sometimes I feel like socializing is all about entertaining other people, because it's rarely fun to me to listen to what they say. Instead I'm constantly thinking about the next thing to say so they don't get bored, while I feel bored at least 90% of the time I speak to them (NTs specially, I have ...

Yo, I just did it! Man that was great! I had a lot of anticipation anxiety, but once I was there, everything went fine. The girl was very kind and made me feel comfortable with her. So for the OP, do it if you can! Find a girl who is fine and that's it. No worries! How long was your session with he...
