I am sorry your mom is dying, perhaps you can text her or go and see her before she passes? I would try and ignore the negative comments she makes. If it's too much, I wouldn't go or even talk to her while she is passing. She is making this choice to treat you like this than making it peaceful for ...

I'd be tempted to give her what she wants. Some people are impossible to please.

IF she were actually dying. She isn't.

She's still at it too. She told me to "let her die in peace" and told me I need to get over this depression as if it's a choice. Well it is mostly her fault for not helping me with my special intrest or getting me to someone who can. "I called one vet. Sorry it was a misunderstanding ...

My mother makes me feel awful. I finally get my nerve up to make a phone call and she just brings me down by telling me how "standoffish" I am. When I ask her how I am "standoffish" she says "I can't fix you!" I wasn't asking her to "fix me" but to tell me wha...

I can recall a few group projects in elementary where I would ask the teacher if I could work on it alone--especially if it had to do with animals or plants (making a report on a plant, etc.). I can also remember asking the teacher if I could stay inside for recess so I could read. While I preferre...

I wouldn't say I self-isolated, but I always preferred to spend most of my time alone. I sometimes hung out with other kids or at least talked to them at school, but generally I could be found doing my own thing. I didn't run around in the woods because we were in a city with no woods nearby, and a...

I'm wondering if other people were isolated by choice as a children. I never had the desire to socialize with other kids or even adults of that matter. If someone wanted to talk about my special interests, I'd want to interact; but people who shared my special interests were so far few in between. I...

I lived in the middle of nowhere for decades. There simply was nowhere to go. When people talk about "going out" I am always mystified by where they go and what they do there.

I was diagnosed when I was very young. Around 7 or 8. I don't remember any extinctual crisis because I was still a child in a single digit age. They called it Asperger's back then...despite the fact I had a speech delay. Being autistic is all I ever knew. My parents did not hide my diagnosis from me...

I had a hysterectomy at 23 so I would stop having periods. Found a doctor who agreed with me. I couldn't remember to take hormones and those might have bad side effects. An IUD would be too painful to put in. I never wanted children anyway. Everyone said I would regret having a hysterectomy so young...

If it does, it's only for insanely rich people with private insurance. Yes, they do exist technically but they are for people considered "low functioning" and you should avoid them at all costs due to abuse being rampant in them. Most employees aren't background checked and they will hire ...
