Forum: Love and Dating   Topic: Am I morally obligated to tell a partner about any AS?

I would like to if possible prevent more people being like me and having to go through what I did. It would be very irresponsible and morally wrong of me not to do something if I was able to. Secondly, I'm fairly certain that any mental problem is a red flag or major turn-off for any woman worth a ...

Anything is distracting. The only way to keep being focused with AD(H)D is to not be distracted by coworkers or any other elements in the environment. It seems like people without AD(H)D work best for some time, take a little break (which they needed) and are back to work. With AD(H)D, breaks are ac...

I think it's a good compromise. Telling the truth if / when things start getting serious. Sure, there's the risk of being rejected, but if it happens, it shows that this woman doesn't accept you for what you are, so she's not worth it. Better know it sooner than later, when it would cause much more ...

Dishonesty is the best way to wreck a relationship. Your partner is going to notice your autistic traits sooner or later and freak out very badly if you never told her about them before. So, you'll have to be honest, preferably sooner than later. Unless if you don't mind having only short-term relat...

I escaped bullying only at university. I guess it stopped there because I finally was with other students sharing about the same interests. Looks like social life becomes quite a bit easier when you're a student in STEM, compared with being lost in the middle of a bunch of teens obsessed with pop so...

- Open-mindedness and healthy curiosity instead of fear of the stranger and of the unknown - Empathy, compassion and respect for everyone and all lifeforms - Courage, willpower to fight their own inner demons, hatred and fears - Anger (but no hatred, because there's a difference) towards injustice -...

Spiderpig, my post was considering the case of a man losing his virginity for a long-term relationship, not a one night stand. A man who wants to lose his virginity in a purely sexual way can do it very easily, meeting a professional and paying her. There are so many more men and women who stay virg...

Sensory overload during physical contact. I now know that I should have given explanations about it before it could happen. Even with a warning, who wouldn't freak out... But at least, he wouldn't have freaked out so badly. It didn't end the relationship, but that was enough to damage it significant...

I have never seen a girl date a nice guy. All the nice guys that are made fun of online are made fun of because they are fat. And for some reason, those "nice guys" are the ones who refuse dating overweight women. Double standards ?... Can't tell you how many ads and profiles I've ...

I'm a lot like your son. It's very annoying but reminders always help. What works for me : - reminders and alarms ; - turning off the phone and any source of distraction (if he's got a TV in his room and watches it, maybe he shouldn't have a TV in his room, or he should work in another room) ; - kee...

There's also a giant house spider invasion in France right now :pale:
You can spread diatomaceous earth on the ground and textiles. It kills spiders and bugs walking on it. Other than that, I keep my cat in my bedroom for part of the night. She's my guardian angel.

It's sooooo rare to find a woman who would refuse a man because he's not virgin. I'd refuse if it's too many. This. Feeling like a number or a trophy on a man's list is the real turn-off. A virgin man isn't. On the contrary, if he's a virgin because it was difficult for him to find a compatible par...

1.How many have you had? 1. 2.When was your first? I was 19 years old, fighting hard to have my diploma. I studied about 60 hours a week but couldn't raise my grades no matter how hard I worked. 3.Did you know what was wrong with you while burning out? Yes. The answer was obvious. But I didn't want ...
