So far I've spent 13 hours with my mother enjoying the following:

- decorating her room with stuff from home which they told me to bring
- putting the stuff away when nurses started breaking it / knocking it off the window ledge
- listening to delirious rants and hours of sobbing
- reminding her not to call her roommate gay just because he has a male visitor
- reminding her not to identify hospital staff by their ethnicity or skin colour
- wiping her privates because they've yet to even give her a sponge bath or brush her teeth
- reminding her where she is
- fixing her nappy when it gets bunched up
- raising her head, lowering her head, raising her feet, lowering her feet
- fetching tea from a coffee shop in the lobby
- fetching it again because it's not hot enough
- fetching bendy straws
- walking all the way down the hall to find an outlet to charge her flip phone
- reminding her where she is
- getting nurses to help insert suppositories
- helping her try to push out bowel movements (unsuccessful)
- talking to Delirium OTs
- talking to Physical Therapists
- telling her lies so she won't know certain things which will worry her
- telling family members various lies so they won't worry about her
- researching Salmonella
- cursing under my breath
- spoon-feeding apple sauce
- applying Vaseline on her mouth with my fingers
- reminding her where she isn't
- exchanging knowing looks with Camryn who isn't Shauna

I forgot some.

- Telling her not to yell out loud for a shovel or key or knife for her constipation.
- Telling her I will not use a knife to help her.
- Hearing how much she doesn't like my adopted son.

^Is this what we're all going to be when we get old? I may as well end myself now.

She has this, subsequent to a broken hip and hip replacement.

At first they told me it was because of the Morphine but she hasn't had any painkiller for 48 hours.

The Delirium is getting worse.

Things are not looking good.

Her mother had the same Alzheimer's / Dementia at the end.

It's going to be a very bumpy ride.

Managed and reduced all my clothes fit in a single drawer.

Now I have a free single drawer. And I'm not sure what to do with it at the moment...
