I’m coming up to 42 years old and am still so polite and considerate to others and feel so embarrased about having to confront others, even when they deserve it. I’m such a big empath too, contrary to the autism stereotype. I’ve had my moments don’t get me wrong where I’ve really blown my stack but...

As someone who has been ostracized for not saying thank you -- despite the fact that I know for a fact I was greatful for wahtever was done to me I just forgot to say thank you -- I am thinking about why I have to face this problem on the first place. I mean, if someone does to you something for wh...

Does anyone feel that way. That is how I feel and come across. Outwardly to people I come across as quiet, shy very introvert but inwardly there is this talkative confident person that wants to come out but is frustrated because the extravert won’t come out. Definately, so much to say, so many thou...

Bear in mind that I have self taught myself computer programming and many other things technology wise, lately I am obsessed with c...

'You use autism as an excuse for everything.' I don't. I use it as a reason for only five scenarios (noise, crowds, hugs, blankets, and selective mutism). 'Don't let your disability define you.' I know that you are probably saying 'don't let your illness make you unhappy', but that illness has alre...

My therapist wanted me to learn body language and social cues so I can communicate better. The first thing we're doing is eye contact, of which I am terrible at. Eye contact is very painful and distracting for me to the point where I can't speak. I'm afraid it might put me into shutdowns if I conti...

It seems like the majority of people on the spectrum got bullied in school and school life was a lonely time. My handwriting was so bad I had to have lessons when I was 11/12. Now it's crudely formed but I think legible. However handwriting is a slow process and my hand can ache/get stiff after a short while. It's hard to write more quickly and still legibly. My handwriting is encrypted, or at least that i...
